Guidance for Exhibitors

We actively encourage entries to the Show from everybody. We welcome entries from beginners into all areas of the schedule not just to the specific beginner’s section (although that’s a great place to start if you want to build your confidence exhibiting). Many beginner exhibitors find that their exhibits win first place!

We are committed to strengthening our community by encouraging young people to become involved with horticulture, sustainability, and the environment. We have specific children’s sections which are free to enter, but children are very welcome to enter any other section including the beginners classes.

The rules for the Show are set out in the Schedule and while the Show judges have ultimate discretion, we have set out some guidance for the various sections of the Show here and we hope you find them useful.

Note from our President

Hello,

If you have found your way to this page, it looks like you might be interested in exhibiting at our show. That’s really exciting!

We value everybody that contributes to the show. Without our exhibitors, we wouldn’t have a show and new exhibitors will help keep our show going into the future.

This guidance is here to help you but I know it can be intimidating to start.

Please know that we are a very friendly show and there will be plenty of people on hand on Friday night and Saturday morning before the show who can help you find the best way to display your exhibits.

Don’t forget, you’ve got to be in it to win it, and you never know, you might win first prize!

With best of luck,

Kelly Braund

President of Dufftown Horticultural Society
